Help & FAQ
How to run or join a Mulligan Invitational fantasy golf draft—from account to post-cut redraft.
What this site is
Mulligan Invitational is fantasy golf for majors: you draft real golfers for a tournament, then follow live standings and scoring as the event plays out. The player field and tournament data are synced from integrated sources (Data Golf, OWGR, and live standings) so your league stays aligned with the real event.
Accounts
You need an account to join a draft with an invite link and to play. Use Register or Log in from the home page. We don’t send email confirmations yet—after you register, sign in with the password you chose.
Joining a league
Your commissioner shares a draft invite link. Open it while signed in, then claim a seat on the draft’s setup page (or use options there such as This is me or Join draft when shown). The same link can be shared with everyone in your league until it expires—invite links last 14 days. If yours expired, ask the commissioner to generate a new link on Draft setup.
Creating a draft (commissioners)
From Home, use New draft. You’ll pick a tournament, give the draft a title, and set:
- Draft mode — how pick order repeats each round (see below).
- Rounds to draft — number of draft rounds; everyone makes one pick per round, so this also sets how many golfers each team ends up with.
- Best scores count for standings — how many of each team’s golfers count toward the ranking score (can’t exceed the number of rounds).
- Minutes per pick — time limit per turn; 0 means no clock and no auto-pick from the clock.
- Fantasy player count — league size. You count as one seat; remaining seats stay open until people claim them on setup, join via invite, or use Join draft as offered.
Draft order types (example: three fantasy players in order A, then B, then C):
- Linear
- Same order every round. Round 1: A → B → C. Round 2: A → B → C. Round 3: A → B → C …
- Snake
- Order reverses each round (serpentine). Round 1: A → B → C. Round 2: C → B → A. Round 3: A → B → C …
- Round robin
- First pick rotates each round. Round 1: A → B → C. Round 2: B → C → A. Round 3: C → A → B. Round 4: A → B → C …
Your drafts are listed under Drafts.
Draft setup
Before the draft starts, the commissioner sets draft order (first pick is at the top)—you can randomize or move players up and down. Open seats can be claimed with This is me; invite links let others join after signing in. When everyone is seated and ready, the commissioner starts the draft.
During the tournament
Each draft has its own navigation. Typical pages include:
- Board — live draft board when the draft is in progress.
- Redraft — post-cut waiver/redraft flow when your league uses it.
- Scoring — switch between Fantasy draft ranking (your league) and Golf tournament rankings (full field).
- Rosters — team rosters.
- Pick-by-pick live — draft order, drafter, and golfer for each pick.
- Activity — draft and roster activity.
- Settings (gear icon when available) — scoring and post-cut options for the draft.
How scoring works
Teams are ranked using each golfer’s strokes to par from the tournament leaderboard. Your team’s ranking score is the sum of that team’s best N scores to par, where N is the “scoring eligible” count set for the draft (the same number you configured when creating the draft, adjustable later in Draft settings). Golfers on the scoreboard are ordered best score first; the scores that count toward the ranking score are highlighted. Ties between teams use the next-best golfers to par (e.g. 4th-best, then 5th-best) as shown on the Scoring page. The draft commissioner (or a site admin) can change how many scores count and post-cut minimums in Draft settings.
Redraft and waiver (post-cut)
After the cut, your league may use Redraft to replace eliminated golfers and set waiver order. The draft’s settings include a minimum golfers still in contention after the cut; the Redraft page explains auto slots, manual overrides, and waiver order for that draft. Open your draft and go to Redraft for the exact numbers and picks.
FAQ
- Why don’t I get a confirmation email?
- Registration doesn’t rely on email confirmation yet. Use the password you set on Register to Log in.
- My invite link expired. What now?
- Invite links expire after 14 days. Ask your commissioner to create a new invite link on Draft setup and share it again.
- What’s the difference between “rounds” and “best N scores”?
- Rounds is how many draft rounds you run (one pick per fantasy player per round), which sets roster size. Best N scores is how many golfers on each roster count toward the standings total—N can’t be larger than the number of rounds.
- No tournaments show up when I create a draft.
- The create form only lists events in the site’s current schedule window. If nothing appears, try again later or contact whoever runs this site—they may need to refresh the tournament schedule or check configuration.
